Mr. Muir has more than 20 years experience as a news writer, financial executive, registered investment advisor, and investor relations consultant. From January, 1994 through May, 1998 Mr. Muir was a partner and account group leader at Coffin Communications Group, a Los Angeles-based investor relations agency specializing in small cap and micro cap companies. From June, 1990 through January, 1994 Mr. Muir directed investment community contact in the southern California region for The Financial Relations Board, the largest investor relations agency in the country. Clients included Pinkerton's (NYSE), IMCERA Group (NYSE), GATX Corporation (NYSE), Bradley Real Estate Trust (NYSE), The Toro Company (AMEX), FileNet Corporation (NMS), Hollywood Park (NMS), and ValliCorp Holdings (NMS). Previously, Mr. Muir was president of a Los Angeles based investment advisory service and corporate finance specialist which assisted small companies in attracting investment capital through private placement financings. During this period, Mr. Muir served as a Registered Investment Advisor with the NASD. As Senior Consultant at Commercial Acceptance Corporation in Los Angeles, Mr. Muir provided investment consulting services to institutional investors. Mr. Muir also has extensive media experience as a result of years spent as a staff reporter for California newspapers. Mr. Muir provides specific expertise in strategic planning, valuation analysis, benchmark analysis, financial audience targeting, communication strategies and the implementation of competitive intelligence programs designed to maximize both shareholder value and lead to an effective investor relations outcome. Mr. Muir holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from California State University at San Jose and also completed course work in international relations at La Sorbonne in Paris, France. Mr. Muir currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) as Chair of Communications and serves on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army in Pasadena as a member of the Executive Committee and as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. Mr. Muir is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America.
